Pizza Party! 3 Ways to Make Pizzas in a Preschool Classroom

Looking for a fun, new activity to try with the children in your program? How about a pizza party? Not only is making pizza fun, but it allows children an opportunity to practice fine motor skills as they sprinkle cheese and add toppings. There are a variety of simple recipes that work well with young children, including 3 of our favorites, described below.  Each recipe is quick, budget-friendly, and requires only a few ingredients to make.

Ingredients:
Olive oil
Garlic powder
Dried oregano
Tomato sauce
English muffins
Mozzarella cheese

Funny Face Pizzas

Ingredients:
English muffins
Spaghetti sauce/pizza sauce
Grated mozzarella cheese
Veggies for decoration, like: Sliced olives, pepperoni slices, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, mushroom slices, broccoli florets, or zucchini

Apple Pizzas

Ingredients:
Apples
Peanut Butter (if you have allergies in your classroom or home, substitute sunflower seed butter or cream cheese)
Assorted toppings (raisins, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, crisped rice cereal, or others)

Apple pizzas are a fun twist on a favorite snack. Top apples spread with peanut butter and top with raisins or other dried fruit for a healthy and tasty treat. Click here for the recipe.
